A freelance bounty hunter, Hanna devotes her life to cleaning up the world through - ironically enough - espionage, arson, kidnapping, assassination, and just about any other undesirable deed that must be done. Despite her unusual credentials, Hanna is not a bad person. She is incredibly passionate and cares deeply for those close to her, often times going to extraordinary lengths to ensure their safety. She typically operates under strict principles, only accepting a job if she believes that the punishment fits the crime; and she does so with almost unsurpassed efficiency.

During her last year of high school, her life changed dramatically; she met Leona Moore, and the two quickly became close friends... until Leona attempted to take things to the next level. Hanna confronted her the next day, but accidentally got involved in something terrible. She learned that Leona was a trained agent under the command of Richard Stiles, a retired scientist that had been experimenting with altering genetics to create bioweapons. After being subjected to a very painful "initiation," Hanna fled and became an agent for WOOHP. Five years later, she killed Rich to avenge her lost innocence and confessed her love to Leona.

Hanna wields a one-handed katana with a black blade, and the silver, cylindrical hilt contains amazingly complex machinery that is capable of being programmed to perform just about any task, including semi-sentient activities; the sword can levitate on its own and behave however the user programs it to. It also holds the capabilities to integrate additional weapon and utility systems into its circuitry. One detail that she doesn't like to acknowledge is that the sword was given to her by Rich.

She is currently in an ongoing rivalry with the legendary Samus Aran.
